Following London FA appointing two Women's and Girl's Football Development Officers to further develop the female game in the capital, they have recently recruited Kimberly Gilliland as the Community Sports Coach for the London FA, with help from funding provided by Tesco.
Kimberly Gilliland will be working in four main boroughs of London - Wandsworth, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Lambeth alongside Women's and Girl's Football Development Officers Natalie Huntley (North London boroughs) and Emma Barnes (South London). Her role will include assisting schools, clubs and the local authorities with the promotion of girls' participation in football and helping to deliver coaching sessions.
Kimberly said: "I am looking forward to help develop girls in schools and then help to create links between the schools and clubs and to give them the opportunity to progress within football."
For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Kimberly at Kimberly.Gilliland@londonfa.com.
