Newly promoted Bristol City have landed the signing of England international Rachel McArthur from Fulham. The 26-year-old midfielder started her career with City and has taken the decision to return to her home city after four successful years with the Cottagers.
Rachel was a member of the Bristol City team who were surprise FA Women's Cup semi finalists in 1995 before moving on to Southampton Saints before turning full time professional. She will also work at the club's Academy, coaching younger girls.
Rachel is the third England international to have made a change of club within a week and indications are that there will be plenty more to come in the near future.
A delighted City manager Jack Edgar said: "Rachel will bring experience to our midfield and is a major signing for the club.
"She took part in her first training session on Sunday and settled in very quickly. She'll have a big part to play for us in the forthcoming season."
