Genero Adran Leagues

The New Saints continued their impressive start to the new season with a 6-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town, which keeps them as leaders of the Genero Adran Premier on goal difference.

Tiggeraa Webb got TNS off to a flying start by giving them a fifth minute lead, with Aberystwyth hitting back to equalise shortly afterwards through Maria Ewers. Molly Havared put them back in front on the stroke of half time and quickfire goals from Lia Lewis and Lexi Jones, early in the second half, put TNS in control of the game before Chantelle Teare made it five and Webb rounded off the scoring late on with her second goal.

Briton Ferry Llansawel meanwhile continued their own excellent start with a second straight win, this time beating Wrexham 3-0. Lowri Ridings and Alice Broadley put Ferry two goals ahead inside the opening sixteen minutes and Tija Richardson put the seal on a fine result for her side early in the second half, when she scored the third.

Champions Cardiff City Women are the third team on six points after they defeated Cardiff Met Women 3-1. The Archers went in front after seven minutes with a goal from India Shanahan, a lead which they held until just before half time when Fiona Barry brought City back on level terms. Ffion Price then put the Bluebirds ahead from the penalty spot, six minutes after the restart, and Price wrapped up the points with a second on the hour, firing home from a free kick.

Swansea City and Barry Town Utd occupy the mid-table positions after their meeting, at the swansea.com Stadium, finished in a goalless draw. The Swans dominated territory and possession for much for much of the afternoon, but could not break down a dogged and well-organised Barry defence which defended superbly throughout the match, with goalkeeper Molly Arnesen in fine form.

There were no matches played in either the North or South Divisions, due to the teams being involved in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.
