Northern Premier Division`

No matches played.

Southern Premier Division

Ipswich Town were left frustrated on Sunday as their hopes of all-but clinching the league title were dashed with a 1-0 defeat away to Watford. Madison Perry scored the only goal of the game, midway through the second half, as Watford extended their impressive run of only one defeat in eleven matches and boosted their hopes of a top three finish, as well as giving a glimmer of hope to second placed Hashtag Utd.

Division One North

No matches played.

Division One Midlands

Loughborough Lightning have moved themselves to within a single point of landing the title after running out 4-0 winners over Notts County. Zynia Delglyn gave Loughborough the lead as half time approached and after the break, they secured the points with further strikes from Lauren Purchase, Jessica Collyer and Ella-Mai Coutts.

The result means that Peterborough Utd can no longer win the title - only Northampton Town can still match Loughborough’s points total - but the Posh Women kept their hopes of the runners-up spot alive with a 1-0 victory against Leafield Athletic. Kier Perkins grabbed the only goal of the game with only two minutes on the clock, to take Peterborough above Northampton into second place whilst Leafield, who have had a good campaign, seem destined to finish in fourth.

Division One South East

Chatham Town rekindled hopes of finishing as runners-up when they won 3-0 away to AFC Sudbury. Hot on the heels of lifting the Isthmian Women’s Cup in midweek, Amelia Woodgate gave them the lead on the stroke of half time and they went on to crown the win with further goals from Millie Rayner and Lucy Jones. The result takes the Chats to within two points of second placed Norwich City, with both teams having two matches left to play.

All in all it has been a season to forget for Ashford Town (Middlesex) but they had an enjoyable day on Sunday when scoring seven times without reply past London Seaward, to record their second victory of the campaign. Summer Gayle led the scoring with a hat-trick, Lavana Neufville weighed in with a double and they were joined on the scoresheet by Abigail Kargbo and Liz O’Callaghan.

Division One South West

Swindon Town achieved what no other club had managed to do in the league up until Sunday - avoid a defeat against Champions AFC Bournemouth this season. The Cherries’ aims of winning all 22 league matches were ended with only one match to spare, but they are on the brink of going through another league campaign unbeaten. Bournemouth did look to be on course for another victory when Jenna Markham gave them the lead at the County Ground but Swindon responded midway through the second half when Libby Waylen earned them a share of the spoils, for a point which leaves them likely to end the season in third place.

Reserve Section round-up

Leeds Utd have taken over at the top of the Northern Premier Division, replacing Derby County after beating them 3-0. All of the goals came in the first half, Alex Rigg giving them an early lead which was added to by Sian Gibrill-Keating and Macy Ellis. Newcastle Utd meanwhile defeated Stoke City 2-1 thanks to Abbie Richardson and Lucy Gilbert.

One match was played in the Northern Championship, Liverpool Feds lifting themselves up into second placed as they edged out Sporting Khalsa by the odd goal in nine.

Ipswich Town are up into second in the Southern Premier Division after Kaci-Jai Bonwick, Dulcie King and Megan McCrae-Robinson all scored in their 3-0 victory over Billericay Town. Portsmouth meanwhile got the better of Swindon Town in a high scoring affair, winning 7-4 thanks to Sofia Allan (2), Chloe Sheffield (2), Stevie Kennedy, Call Swain and Lola Meyer.

Exeter City are the new leaders of the Southern Championship, replacing Keynsham Town at the top after beating them 5-1. Moneyfields were also 5-1 winners in the other game against Queen’s Park Rangers and this result that them into second.
