Korea DPR 0 Colombia 0 att: 7,805; at Bochum Korea DPR and Colombia will both go home from the World Cup with a point under their belts after they battled out the first goalless draw of the tournament so far. However it was not for the want of trying after the teams managed 33 shots on goal between them during the course of the match. Colombia started the match well with Orianica Velasquez going close and Yulieht Dominguez bringing out a good save from Hong Myong Hui. The North Koreans passed up a glorious opportunity to take the lead shortly before half time. Kim Un Ju made a great run into the area which took her past two challenges before setting up Jo Yun Mi but she snatched at her shot and it went wide. Velasquez again produced threatening efforts either side of half time and Hong did well to dash from her line and deny Daniela Montoya on the hour mark. Both teams exchanged shots on goal without troubling either goalkeeper but it took a good save from Sandra Sepulveda to prevent Jo Yun Mi from giving Korea the lead. Velasquez shot wide during the closing minutes as neither side, despite their best efforts, could break the deadlock.
