In the only match to go ahead in the FA Women's Championship over the weekend, Charlton Athletic picked up an important point from a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers. The Addicks took the lead in the fourteenth minute when Elisha Sulola was brought down in the area by Ria Montgomery and Rachel Newborough scored from the resulting penalty. Blackburn fought back after the break and earned themselves a share of the spoils, also from the penalty spot, Elise Hughes finding the corner of the net after Charlotte Newsham had been fouled by Eartha Cumings.
