Six of the best from Aberdeen
 Women's Football Scottish WPL2 News - 18 Nov 2020

Aberdeen made it six wins out of six in SWPL 2 and have extended their lead to six points after winning their top of the table clash 1-0 against Hamilton Academical.

Bayley Hutchison has been in fine form since the start of the season and she scored the only goal of the game to maintain the Dons' perfect record.

Queen's Park lifted themselves above the Accies and are now in second place following their 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock. Both of the goals came in the final quarter of the match, Sophie McGoldrick putting the Spiders in front and Louisa Boyes netting the second with three minutes left.

Partick Thistle ran out 4-1 winners away to Stirling University and have moved into the top four. Stirling led at the interval through an own goal but four goals in a sixteen minute spell after the break turned the match firmly in Thistle's favour. Clare Docherty netted the equaliser on the hour and Sophie Gallacher put Partick in front, before they added further goals through Amy Bulloch and Jade Gallon.

Glasgow Women claimed their third victory of the season when beating Boroughmuir Thistle 3-1. Abbi McDonald gave Glasgow a first half lead which was doubled after the break via a Shivohn Honeyman penalty and although Helen Templeton pulled one back for Boroughmuir with nineteen minutes remaining, Taylor Hamill made the points safe for Glasgow in injury time.

Dundee Utd meanwhile got back to winning ways with a 1-0 success away to St Johnstone. The game's solitary goal came early on, Neve Guthrie scoring with just seven minutes on the clock.

On Tuesday night, Dundee Utd and Glasgow Women battled out a 2-2 draw which leaves both teams in the mid-table positions. All of the goals came in the first half, Glasgow taking a two-goal lead through Kaitlyn Canavan and Shivohn Honeyman, before United hit back with a Robyn Smith double to earn themselves a share of the spoils.
