Dons power five points clear
 Women's Football Scottish WPL2 News - 11 Nov 2020
Aberdeen have enjoyed a good few days and this has given them a clear advantage at the top of the table.
On Sunday, they made it four wins in a row when a second half goal from Bayley Hutchison gave them a 1-0 win away to Glasgow Women.
Two days later, the Dons took on St Johnstone in a meeting between the division's last two unbeaten teams and powered to an 8-1 victory which takes them five points clear. Chloe Gover, Bailley Collins and Bayley Hutchison all scored two goals apiece along with Francesca Ogilvie and Eva Thomson, whilst Saints' consolation goal came via a Rachel Todd penalty.
St Johnstone had also been in action a couple of days before, sharing a 2-2 draw with second placed Hamilton Academical. Amy Anderson gave Hamilton a first half lead which was cancelled out on the hour by an own goal, the Accies then went back in front through Megan Quigley with four minutes remaining but the home side battled back again, Fern Newbigging scoring to earn them a share of the spoils.
Queen's Park continue to build on their good start and are in third place following their 3-1 victory over Dundee Utd. It was United who led at the break thanks to Robyn Smith but Louisa Boyes levelled matters after the restart, before Chloe Docherty and Samantha McManus both scored for the Spiders in the last seven minutes.
Partick Thistle follow on after also coming from behind to win, 2-1 away to Kilmarnock. Amy Burrows put Killie in front midway through the second half but goals in the last twelve minutes from Shannon Todd and Jade Gallon turned the match around in Thistle's favour.
The two teams at the foot of the table met each other and it was Boroughmuir Thistle who took the honours with a 2-0 victory against Stirling University. Hannah Davie gave Boroughmuir the lead with twelve minutes on the clock, before Helen Templeton sealed the win during the second half.
