City maintain flying start
Women's Football Wales Premier League News - 9 Oct 2019
Cardiff City Women kept up their good start to the season with a 6-0 victory away to Aberystwyth Town, which keeps them top of the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League on goal difference.
Alana Murphy put City two goals ahead midway through the first half, with Kate Jeremiah adding a third before the interval. After Zoe Atkins had increased the lead on the hour mark, Murphy completed her hat-trick and Eryn Gibbs rounded off the scoring with five minutes remaining.
Swansea City are still keeping pace with leaders after winning 3-0 at Llandudno Ladies. Stacey John-Davis gave the Swans a first half lead which was doubled on the stroke of half time by Katy Hosford. John-Davis wrapped up the win for Swansea with the third goal, midway through the second half.
Cardiff Met Women replaced previously unbeaten Port Talbot Town in third place by winning their meeting 3-0. The scoreline was goalless at half time but midway through the second half, two goals in two minutes from Jodie Passmore and Madison Schupbach put the Archers in control. Tija Richardson completed a good result for Met when she scored the third goal.
