The SBS Scottish Women's Premier League returned to action after the international break and SWPL 1 leaders Glasgow City picked up where they had left off, by winning 4-0 away to Rangers.
All of the goals came during the first half with two from midfielder Leanne Crichton in the opening twenty minutes putting them well in the driving seat, before further strikes from Kirsty Howat and Hayley Sinclair followed.
Celtic remain five points behind in second place after scoring seven times without reply past Forfar Farmington. Sarah Ewens gave them an eleventh minute lead, with Chloe Craig adding a second from the penalty spot. After the break, Kathleen McGovern netted eiher side of a double from Josephine Giard, and Cheryl McCulloch rounded off the scoring in injury time.
Hibernian kept themselves in touch with the top two with a 4-0 victory away to local rivals Spartans. After a goalless first half, Rachael Boyle broke the deadlock five minutes after the restart and Siobhan Hunter added a brace, before Lauren Davidson netted the fourth.
Motherwell further increased the gap between themselves and the bottom two places by beating Stirling University 2-1. Chelsea McEachran and Kerry Montgomery netted the goals for Motherwell, with Claire Petersen replying for Stirling during the second half.
