This season's Premier League Cup Final will be between Cardiff Met Women and Swansea City after contrasting victories in their respective semi finals on Sunday.
Cardiff Met needed their full powers of recovery to come from behind and win 2-1 against Cardiff City Women. City started the game well and took the lead just after the half hour with a goal from Zoe Atkins. After the break, the Archers equalised on the hour through a Naomi Clipston penalty and twelve minutes later, Madison Schupbach put Met ahead for the first time and they held on to reach the Final once again.
Swansea meanwhile had a much more comfortable journey through to the Final, scoring seven times without reply past Rhyl Ladies. Katy Hosford opened the scoring for the Swans after ten minutes, before two goals in the three minute spell just before half time from Emma Beynon and Kelly Adams put them firmly in control. After the break, Hosford netted her second as did Beynon on the hour, then Ching Hang Chun also got herself on the scoresheet. Hosford rounded off a good day for her side as completed her hat-trick with nine minutes remaining.
