Southampton Women opened up the Division One South West title race with a 3-0 victory away to previously unbeaten Keynsham Town, going three points clear at the top in the process.
Philippa Holden put them in front on the quarter hour and Kellie Warren bundled home the second, midway through the second half. Keynsham's free scoring side were kept at bay by an outstanding defensive performance from the visitors, and Roxanne Lee-Stewart having an excellent game in midfield. A great day for Southampton was rounded off in injury time when Chelsie Hay scored the final goal.
Buckland Athletic recovered from an early setback at Swindon Town to run out 6-1 winners and stretch their unbeaten run in the league to six matches. Meghan Larkin gave Swindon a great start by putting them ahead after three minutes but two Laura Gough goals gave Buckland a lead which they extended through Maria Warman just before half time. Gough completed her hat-trick five minutes into the second half, before Sarah Stacey increased their lead and Warman netted her second with five minutes remaining.
