With Sheffield Utd not in action, Blackburn Rovers took the opportunity to replace them on top of Northern Division One after they defeated Newcastle Utd 2-0. Carra Jones gave Blackburn the lead just before the hour and Megan Dykes netted the second goal late on. Durham Women moved above Middlesbrough in the table after beating them 4-1 in the other game.
There was also a change of leadership in the Midland Division, where Leicester City went top with a 4-1 victory away to Nottingham Forest. West Bromwich Albion are up to third after a 1-0 success at Burton Albion and Coventry Utd defeated Sporting Khalsa 4-2, thanks to a Lois Jefferies double, Amber Downs and Antonia Kingscott.
One match was played in the South/South East Division, the clash between the two teams with 100% records going into the game. In the end it was Tottenham Hotspur who beat Charlton Athletic 4-1, Ronnell Hume was on target twice along with Therese Addison and Anna Filbey, with the home side's consolation coming from Charley Clifford.
Queen's Park Rangers continue to move away from the bottom places in the South/South West Division, moving into fifth place with a 4-0 victory over Denham Utd, given to them by doubles from Hollie Hogan and Katie Knell.
