Glasgow City made a swift return to the top of SBSSWPL 1 on Sunday with a 3-0 victory away to Stirling University.
Leanne Crichton opened the scoring for City before Carly Girasoli and Hayley Lauder went on to crown the win with further goals.
Two days earlier, Hibernian had displaced City from the top by winning 2-0 against Forfar Farmington in the first league match to be televised live on BBC ALBA. After a goalless first half, Forfar's resistance was broken when Abi Harrison put Hibs in front with twelve minutes remaining and Lauren Davidson secured the points with the second goal.
Celtic remain on course for a third place finish after the Old Firm clash with Rangers ended in a goalless draw. Celtic were playing their first match under new Head Coach, Eddie Wolecki Black, and they nearly took the points late on when Chloe Craig's header was saved by Khym Ramsey.
Spartans took on Hamilton Academical in a vital clash at the foot of the table and the Edinburgh side would have been the happier of the two with the resulting 2-2 draw. Amy Anderson put the Accies ahead from the penalty spot before Elana Santoyo-Brown and Alana Marshall turned it around in Spartans' favour. Hamilton were reduced to ten players but rallied to grab themselves an important point when Kirstie McIntosh netted a last minute equaliser.
