Point takes Cheltenham top
 Women's Football WNL Division 1 South West News - 12 Sep 2018
Cheltenham Town have moved to the top of the table for the first time following their 2-2 draw against Buckland Athletic on Sunday.
Annie Martin gave Cheltenham an early lead but Buckland hit back strongly, leading at the break thanks to Courtney Butt and Natalie Warman. Ella Hitchcox equalised midway through the second half to give Cheltenham a result which sees them take over the leadership, whilst Buckland picked up their first point.
For the second league match in a row, Keynsham Town scored eight times in the second half, this time coming from behind to beat Larkhall Athletic 9-2. Adele Hooper and Mel Sartain were on target as the Larks led 2-1 at half time but Keynsham powered to their second straight league win - and avenged their League Cup defeat to Larkhall a week earlier - courtesy of a Kerry Bartlett hat-trick as well as Ellie Curson (2), Justine Lorton (2) ,Laura Williams and Corinne Yorston.
Swindon Town meanwhile claimed their first league victory since November 2016 when defeating Poole Town 2-1. Milly Colford gave Swindon the lead on the hour with Abby Picton adding the second and although Rebecca Miles pulled one back for the Dolphins, Swindon held on to finally break their long unwanted run.
Chesham Utd notched their first win back in the league, 5-0 away to Southampton Saints. Gemma Fraser was on target twice for the Clarets along with Emma Bebbington, Kate Bowers and Sarah Hazell.
Brislington were a third team to get off the mark for the season, thanks to a 5-2 success at Maidenhead Utd. After Cheryl Baber had given them an early lead, Paige Sawyer hit a hat-trick and Amy Ford also got on the scoresheet, whilst the home side replied through Abi Canvin and Kirsty Matthews.
