Motherwell have opened up a lead of five points at the top of SWPL 2 after they defeated FC Kilmarnock 2-0 in their top of the table clash.
Caitlin Russell headed them in front just before half time and Hayley Cunningham netted the second to seal her side's sixth victory on the trot.
A late goal handed Hearts a 1-0 victory over local rivals Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale and this takes them above Kilmarnock and into second place. Ashley Carse settled matters in Hearts' favour with the only goal of the game in injury time.
Central Girls Academy picked up a valuable point from a 1-1 draw with fourth placed St Johnstone, who scored through Ria Tweedie.
Glasgow Girls staged a second half comeback to win 3-2 at Aberdeen and move above their opponents into fifth place. Aberdeen looked to be on their way towards three points when a Chloe Fitzpatrick brace put them two ahead at the break but in the second half, Lauren Coleman netted twice to bring Glasgow back on level terms and Rachel Ashe completed the turnaround with five minutes remaining when she scored the winning goal.
