Eastern Region League
Stevenage Borough carried off the League Cup for the first time with a 4-1 victory over Kettering Town in the Final. Josie North, Hayley Kemp, Amy Josland and Jay Madden scored the goals to give Stevenage victory
The League Plate Final turned out to be a much closer affair as C & K Basildon and Hannakins could not be separated after 120 minutes of football. Having shared four goals, during normal time, the match finished level at 3-3 after extra time before C & K triumphed 5-4 on penalties to complete a League and Cup double. Jenny Brown-Wealls, Carly Eagles and Lylie Frost netted the goals for C & K, whose successful penalty takers were Brown-Wealls, Kerry Gardner, Frost, Shareei Singer and Tina Lindsay.
Billericay Town meanwhile kept their hopes of promotion alive as they defeated Ipswich Wanderers
1-0 in the Division One Runners-up Play-Off Final. The result means that Billericay go forward to the final play-off decider this Sunday against Chelmsford City to decide the remaining place in the Premier Division next season.
London & South East League
The Division One (London) title race has gone down to the very last day of the season and the fate of the top three has yet to be decided. MSA Ladies won 8-0 away to Enfield Town Res but will have to wait and see if they are to take the runners-up position. Hemel Hempstead Town meanwhile came away from Knaphill Wanderers with a 5-2 victory and needed to beat Luton Town Res in their final match on Thursday in order to pip Kikk FC to the title, whereas a point would see them finish second.
North East League
Huddersfield Town picked up the first of a potential trophy double when they defeated Whitley Bay 2-0 in the League Cup Final at Norton & Stockton Ancients. The first half ended goalless but Huddersfield broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Emily Heckler finished following a solo run. Aleathia Smith sealed victory and broke Whitley's resistance shortly afterwards when she headed in the second goal from a Kate Mallin corner.
The Premier Division title race is entering a decisive few days as Huddersfield take on Sheffield Utd Community on Thursday night, then they face leaders Barnsley on Sunday and the destiny of the Championship could well be known following those matches. Peterlee Town's chances of finishing fourth took a knock as they went down to 4-1 defeat away to Hull City. St Francis 2000 are certain to end up in the bottom two despite picking up a useful point from a 1-1 draw with mid-table Guiseley.
North West League
Crewe Alexandra sealed themselves a third place finish in the Premier Division after they won 4-3 away to Bury Girls & Ladies. Burnley Girls & Ladies rounded off another good season with a 3-2 success at Wigan Athletic and Denton Town ended up in a creditable fifth place in their first season after promotion following their 3-2 victory over Chester City.
In Division One North, Blackpool Wren Rovers secured the runners-up spot when they defeated Leigh RMI 4-1. Bolton Lads & Girls leapfrogged Brazil into fifth place by beating them 6-4 whilst Warrington Town won 3-2 against Springfields (Preston) but still finish in the bottom two.
The final match of the season was played in Division One South and it saw Greater Manchester Police score six without reply away to Macclesfield Town to pick up the result they needed to take the runners-up position, the third year in a row they have finished second and they have now taken a top three place for five seasons in succession.
South West League
Keynsham Town Development need a victory in their final game of the season this Sunday against Cheltenham Town in order to pip Larkhall Athletic to the Premier Division title. Marine Academy (Plymouth)'s slim hopes came to an end as they were beaten 4-1 at home by Weymouth. Despite taking the lead through Emma Pemberton, the Dorset side hit back to take the points thanks to a Rosie Sharp double, Georgia Rogers and Philippa Holden. Bristol Ladies Union have had a good season and they rounded it off with a 4-0 victory over Cheltenham Town, Juliette Denny scoring twice along with Danielle Beckerle and Sarah White.
West Midlands League
Premier Division runners-up Solihull Ladies are still winning their closing matches of the season and they kept up this run with a 3-1 success away to Wednesfield Town. Kidderminster Harriers meanwhile ran out 5-1 winners over Bradwell Belles but the result was not quite enough to prevent them from finishing in the bottom two.
Division One North title winners Stafford Town completed their successful campaign in winning style,
7-1 away to Kidsgrove. Wyrley Ladies continue to head the race for second place after they won 2-1 at Prees Raiders whilst Bedworth Utd, the only team who can still catch them, kept their hopes alive by beating Coseley Town 3-0. Chasetown lifted themselves into fifth, thanks to a 3-1 success away to Bridgnorth Spartans.
Leamington Lions ensured themselves an unbeaten season in Division One South as they won their final match 4-1 against Malvern Town. Walsall are virtually certain of a top three finish following their 2-0 win at Rugby Town. Ferndale scored seven without reply past Southam Utd and Birmingham Athletic were 2-0 victors over Fairfield Villa.
