Rhiannon sets sights on World Games
 Women's Football News 12 May 2011

Rhiannon sets sights on World Games - 12 May 2011 - Women's Football NewsBlackburn Rovers star Rhiannon Roberts is hoping to compete at this summer's World University Games in China.

The 20-year-old defender, who attends Edge Hill University, has been chosen to take part in a selection camp for the Great Britain team this weekend.

Rhiannon, who has previously played for England Universities and England Under-23s, will spend two days in Warwick, hoping to make the final 20-player squad for the GB team.

She said: "I'm confident in my own ability, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens across the weekend.

"Getting to go to the World Games, which is one step down from the Olympics, would be a great boost after the disappointment of suffering relegation with Rovers this season."
