Blackburn Rovers manager Adam Lakeland has confirmed a number of key changes to his team.
Following the news that Liverpool have made an official approach to sign skipper Nicky Twohig, Adam has handed midfielder Denise Campbell the captain's armband until the end of the season.
Nicole Emmanuel, who was appointed vice-captain in the summer, has been made club captain after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury. Summer signing Kim Turner has been made the new vice-captain.
"Nicky has been a really good captain for us," said Adam. "She has done a great job, at a young age, but we need someone now to lead the team until the end of the season, which is an important time for us.
"Denise was the obvious choice. She has been here the longest, she gives nothing less than 100% and she is good with the younger players.
"Similarly with Kim. She trains hard and is a model professional, who looks after herself both on and off the pitch.
"She can be a big player for us in the second half of the season and hopefully this will get an extra 5-10% out of her."
Adam also confirmed that defender Rhiannon Roberts will serve a two-match suspension, while striker Katie Anderton has now left the club to link up with Doncaster Rovers Belles.
