Celtic's hopes of a League and Cup 'double' have come to an end after they were knocked out of the Unite Scottish Cup on penalties by Hibernian.
The quarter final tie between the two sides finished 1-1 after extra time, Jo Love netting for Celtic with Debbie McWhinnie on target for Hibernian, who emerged as 3-2 winners from the resulting shootout.
There was better news for Celtic Res as they did progress to the semi finals by beating Premier League opponents Inverness 3-1. Val Mazzoni, Lisa Quigley and Nicola Docherty were on target as Celtic took a two-goal lead at the break and added a third in the second half, before Inverness scored a late consolation through Leanne Calder.
Cup holders Glasgow City cruised into the last four with an 18-0 victory over Hearts. Leanne Ross led the scoring with a seven-goal haul while Ruesha Littlejohn, Emma Mitchell and Lisa Evans all contributed doubles. Emma Fernon, Jane Ross, Rachel Corsie, Eilish McSorley and Lauren McMurchie completed the tally for City with a goal apiece.
Rangers, beaten finalists last time around, are one stage away from another appearance after they defeated Hamilton Academicals 2-1. Rangers led at half time courtesy of a Lana Clelland penalty but Hamilton equalised after the break, also from the penalty spot through Lindsay Hogg. The match was settled in favour of Rangers when Jayne Sommerville scored with a 30-yard strike.
