Manchester City remain at the top of the Northern Division despite having their match against Curzon Ashton postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Coventry City and Newcastle Utd occupy the places below but neither side were able to overhaul them after they battled out a 2-2 draw. Beth Gardener gave Newcastle an early lead but the Sky Blues hit back and looked to have taken the points through Kirsty Robson and Cristina Torkildsen. However Gardener was to have the final say and salvaged a point for Newcastle with her second goal in injury time.
Leeds City Vixens notched up their first league victory of the season, 2-1 away to Derby County. Meganne Paul and Stacey Daniel were on target for the Yorkshire side, with Farrah Walker grabbing Derby's consolation in the dying minutes.
Rochdale claimed their first ever Premier League win in style, beating Preston North End 5-2. Keeleigh Savage led the scoring for Dale with a hat-trick, Alyson Hastie weighing in with the other two, while Sam Cadwallader and Hannah Bailey replied for Preston.
The Premier League Cup Group Three match between Aston Villa and Cardiff City, originally postponed because of international commitments, was played on Sunday and resulted in a 2-2 draw. Natalie Gibson and Kim Farrow were on the scoresheet for Villa, while Lisa Bird and Natasha Harding netted for Cardiff who have a two point lead over Villa at the top of the group and look well set for a place in the knockout stages.
