Aaron takes reserve team role - 19 Jul 2010 - Women's Football NewsGillingham are pleased to announce that Aaron Perry has been named Reserve Team Manager for the upcoming season.
 
The 26-year-old arrives at the Gills with plenty of coaching experience having worked on the coaching staff at Sittingbourne and Margate.
 
Aaron is certainly looking forward to getting into management with the Reserve Team for the coming season.
 
Talking about what prompted him to apply for the Gills Ladies role, he said: "I was attracted to the Gills job as I feel the Gills Ladies section is really moving forward and wanted to be a part of this and offer my knowledge to get more success for them.
 
"I was so surprised after seeing my first session in the set up, players' attitudes and the general buzz around the place was great.

"I believe I can bring a lot of knowledge and experience into the group of players and make it an even more successful team."
 
Aaron is certainly experienced and he is currently waiting to do is his A licence in June 2011, so his coaching experience will be of huge benefit to the team.
 
He will be bringing in his own assistant in the form of Matt Adkins to assist him in his role as Reserve Team Manager. Both Aaron and Matt are hoping that they can have a successful season in charge of the Reserve team.
 
He added: "It is a new League for the girls so it will be definitely be more challenging but from what I have seen of the girls they like a challenge. I am hoping for a successful season and I am confident enough to say we should be challenging for promotion and some good cup runs.

"I am a manager that believes you will only get back what you put in, I am a manger that is first at the training ground and last to leave. I will be out watching games and players and trying to improve the squad in any way I can, one thing I guarantee is that I am committed in what I do and I really can't wait to get started."
