Glasgow City stay ahead
 Women's Football News 14 Jun 2010

Glasgow City will go into the summer break as leaders of the Scottish Women's Premier League after they defeated Inverness 9-0.

Katharina Lindner and Leanne Ross each led the scoring for City with hat-tricks, Emma Mitchell weighed in with a double and Rachel Corsie was also on target.

Celtic remain in second place, three points off the pace but with a game in hand, following their 2-0 victory over Spartans. Kirsty McBride gave Celtic the lead and Joanne Love wrapped up the points with the second goal.

Hibernian netted twelve without reply against Dundee Utd SC, a result which takes them back into fourth. Suzy Robertson, Joelle Murray and Hollie Thomson netted twice, with one apiece from Laura Kennedy, Claire Emslie, Lisa Robertson, Ellen Pia, Jenna Ross and Debbie McWhinnie.

Hamilton Academicals are in the top five for the first time this season after they defeated Aberdeen 5-1. Susan Fairlie was on target twice for the Accies along with Sarah Crilly, Sam McManus and Natasha Anderson.

Forfar Farmington and Rangers occupy the mid-table positions as their meeting ended in a goalless draw.
