Everton are one win away from the runners-up spot and qualification for the UEFA Women's Champions League after they won 2-0 at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. Both of the goals came within the opening sixteen minutes, Jill Scott giving the Toffees the lead and Natasha Dowie adding the second shortly afterwards. The result puts Everton into second place, ahead of Leeds Carnegie on goal difference with Chelsea a single point adrift in fourth place. All three teams have one match left to play, Leeds finish up against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium tonight whilst on Sunday, Everton travel to Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea play away to Nottingham Forest.
