Portsmouth now head the race for the runners-up position after their 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace took them into second place, by virtue of scoring one more goal than Reading FC Women. Molly Clark scored direct from a corner on the quarter hour, before Cassie Thorp and Natalie Bavister both scored early in the second half. Clark went on to complete her double as Pompey bounced back in style from two disappointing defeats over the weekend. Portsmouth travel to Cardiff City on Sunday whilst their rivals for second place are also in action. West Ham Utd make the trip to play Crystal Palace and Keynsham Town play host to Reading in a crucial clash.
