Everton received another blow to their Premier Division title challenge as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Doncaster Rovers Belles on Wednesday night. After the first half had finished goalless, Fara Williams gave Everton the lead within five minutes of the restart but three minutes later, the Belles were back on level terms again when captain Vicky Exley netted from the penalty spot for her 12th league goal of the season. The result means that Everton are three points behind leaders Leeds Carnegie in third place, but crucially trail Arsenal by two points having now played two games more.
