Katie Chapman was both delighted and relieved after scoring the only goal of the game in England's 1-0 victory over Spain in their World Cup qualifier.
Recalling her match winning goal, the combative midfielder said: "It seemed like I had a long time to volley it, but it went in. It's nice to score a goal - I don't score that many and for me, being at Millwall, it was special.
"In the first half we played well and had a lot of possession but didn't create as many chances as we could have done. They came out in the second half and pushed on and it was hard for us but we dealt with the pressure.
"We worked as a team and that won us the game. It was very tense in the second half and I'm sure there was a time when my heart skipped a beat but we dealt with it really well.
"People are looking at us a bit differently now (after the Euros) but it's nice to be there."
Katie recently signed for Chicago Red Stars after a successful spell with Arsenal and she admitted: I'm really looking forward to the challenge. With Arsenal I managed to win pretty much everything and it's nice to have something fresh to aim for.
"It was a tough decision because I have got children and we've all had to move. But my husband Mark is very supportive of me so hopefully it'll turn out well for us as a family and not just for me."
