A goal deep into injury time from captain Emma Jones gave Wales their second win in their FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying group, a 3-2 success against Belgium in Brussels. The result was the perfect revenge for the Welsh side who had themselves succumbed to an injury time goal against the Belgians in Haverfordwest back in September. Wales went into a 20th minute lead through Loren Dykes and Katie Daley put them further ahead from the penalty spot, three minutes ahead of half time. However after the break, substitute Davina Phitjens reduced the arrears for the home side who then went on to level matters eight minutes later through Aline Zeler. Nevertheless the game swung once again as Belgium were reduced to ten players when Maud Coutereels was shown a red card for a second bookable offence and Wales were to take full advantage as Jones popped up for a decisive strike in the dying minutes.
