![]() "The second half was a lot better," she said. "We sorted out a few things at half time and the most important thing was the three points, we also scored three good goals. "We got a bit congested in the centre and lost our way a bit in the first half. "Lianne Sanderson did well - we can't question her technical ability and the role she played worked in her favour. "I'm really pleased for Ellen White and for Claire Rafferty (England's two debutants). Ellen did really well tonight when she came on and she gives us an extra dimension as a centre forward. She has been enthusiastic, trained well, has good pace and is a good finisher." Hope admitted that Kelly Smith had not been selected with next week's vital match against Spain in mind. "Kelly's knee has been great so it was more precautionary that she didn't play tonight," she confirmed. "We now have a few players who can play in a number of positions. It's a fight for places and no one position in the team is straight forward anymore. "We were missing a few players for this match; Karen Carney, Anita Asante, Kelly Smith, Jess Clarke to name just a few. All the players have to work extremely hard to stay in the team and they know that. "We've got youngsters who want to play and from my point of view, it's a good position to be in."
