OOH Lincoln moved into second place in the Northern Division and reduced the gap on leaders Liverpool to six points by winning 4-0 at Newcastle Utd. Stacey Aisthorpe gave the Lady Imps a fifth minute lead which was doubled just before the half hour mark by Jodie Michalska. Seven minutes into the second half, Michalska netted her second and Aisthorpe rounded off the win by completing her double, six minutes from time. Aston Villa finally played their first league game since November and it ended in a 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, who remain in the bottom two. Erin Vaughan put Villa into a first half lead but Wednesday hit back after the break to go in front with goals from Tanya Rich and Stacey Emmonds. Emma Follis struck with ten minutes remaining to salvage a point for Villa. Curzon Ashton picked up another valuable point as their Lancashire derby match with mid-table Preston North End finished goalless.
