Combination Leagues round-up
 Women's Football News 26 Feb 2010

Midland Combination
It was a good week for Sporting Club Albion as they began the task of catching up ground on runaway leaders Coventry City.

In midweek, Albion grabbed a 3-1 win away to Leafield Athletic and followed this up on Sunday by scoring seven without reply against Copsewood (Coventry). Jemma Connor-Iommi netted twice along with Hayley Phillipowsky, Becky Hall, Jess Lippiatt, Ashleigh Neville and an own goal.

Radcliffe Olympic can no longer mathematically win the league but they strengthened their claims for a top three finish with a 2-1 midweek victory over fourth placed Rotherham Utd.

South West Combination
One game did manage to survive the weather on Sunday, at Swindon Town where Plymouth Argyle climbed into fourth place by running out 5-0 winners.

Aoife Aherne gave the Pilgrims a first half lead which she doubled after the break and they went on to seal the victory with further goals from Tash Knapman, Rachael Javan and Charlie Carter.

* All scheduled matches in the Northern Combination and South East Combination were postponed on Sunday.
