Leeds Carnegie ensured there was no hangover from their Premier League Cup success as they defeated Watford 6-0 to step up their title challenge. Leeds went in front midway through the first half, England hopeful Ellen White keeping up her great form by sweeping home a Jess Clarke cross and Remi Allen added a second from close range before half time. With fifteen minutes remaining, Sue Smith increased Leeds' advantage and Allen scored her second following a move involving Smith and Steph Houghton. Clarke made it five and Letesha Cannonier rounded off the scoring with her first senior goal in the dying minutes. The result takes Leeds into fifth place in the National Division table, twelve points behind leaders Sunderland but with several games in hand.
