Northern Combination Middlesbrough edged themselves into second place, one point behind leaders Rochdale, after storming to a 7-1 victory away to Bradford City. Nicky Duckling led the scoring for 'Boro with a hat-trick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Lindsey Stephenson, Sarah Manning, Kate Foster and Katie Kinlan. Midland Combination Coventry City march on at the top of the table and remain eleven points clear after scoring six without reply away to Loughborough Foxes. Sophie Newnes marked her debut by scoring the opener and the Sky Blues added further goals through Emily Hanson, Leanne McKenna, Helen Dermody, Natasha Lynch and Hazannah Parnell. Sporting Club Albion are not giving up the chase in second place and boosted their hopes with a 3-0 victory at Leicester City. After going behind to a first half goal, Laura Perrett levelled the scores with a 20-yard strike and she sealed the victory with ten minutes remaining from the penalty spot. Cullompton Rangers meanwhile jumped into a mid-table position following an 11-0 victory against Reading Town. * No matches were played in the South East Combination on Sunday.
