Hampshire FA is delighted to announce that Hampshire County Women's & Girls Football League will be the official sponsor of its Women's Fives and Girls Sevens end of season competitions for the next three years.
The Hampshire County Women's & Girls Football League was formed in 1999 and is currently enjoying its tenth season. A total of 39 teams participate in the League which is split into four divisions supported by divisions at Under-16, Under-15 and Under-14 level. The League is open to receive applications from new teams and any interested team should contact the League Secretary, Rachel Murray, on (02392) 377680.
Debbie Sowton, Executive Secretary of the League, said: "The chance to support the Hampshire FA Women's Fives and Girls Sevens was an opportunity not to be missed. The County FA and the League share common objectives in developing the female game and we are proud to be associated with these competitions."
Neil Cassar; Chief Executive of Hampshire FA, added: "It's great news for the female game that another sponsor has been secured to support our continued development of women's and girls football in Hampshire. The Hampshire County Women's and Girls Football League is a forward thinking organisation and I am delighted that we will be teaming up for the next three years."
The Hampshire FA Women's Fives and Girls Sevens is an annual small sided football competition for female teams to be held on Saturday, 22 and Sunday 23 May 2010 at Winklebury Football Complex. The tournament is open to teams at Under-10, 12, 14, 16 and ladies and is hosted at Hampshire FA's headquarters at Winklebury Football Complex, Basingstoke.
