Midland Combination With league leaders Coventry City not in action, Sporting Club Albion took the opportunity to close the gap on them to five points by winning a high scoring affair, 8-5 away to TNS Ladies. Hayley Phillipowsky had a great day for Albion, the prolific striker bagging a six-goal haul, with the other two being scored by Hannah Goffe. South East Combination One match went ahead in the league on Sunday, Milton Keynes Dons lifting themselves into second place in the table by beating Cambridge Women 3-0. Aileen Whelan gave the Dons a first half lead and they went on to clinch the points with further goals in the last twenty minutes from Charly Wright and Mikaela Welford.
