Glasgow City completed their 'double' winning season with maximum league points after defeating Boroughmuir Thistle 9-0 in their final match of the season. Having clinched the SWPL title four days earlier, Suzanne Lappin led the scoring for City by bagging a hat-trick. Leanne Ross weighed in with a double and the tally was completed by goals from Jane Ross, Lisa Evans, Suzanne Malone and Rachel Corsie. City therefore recorded their 33rd consecutive victory in domestic football, a phenomenal run which has seen them lift two Championships, two League Cups and the Scottish Cup in the past 12 months alone. They have also netted an incredible 104 goals this season in all competitions, including 71 goals in eleven league games, nearly 6.5 goals per league match. Forfar Farmington meanwhile guaranteed themselves a fifth place finish by beating Rangers 1-0, thanks to a penalty from Kim Thomson. On Sunday, Forfar finished off a good season for themselves with a 1-1 draw against Boroughmuir. Meanwhile, Dundee Utd SC banished any lingering fears of ending up in the bottom two by running out 4-0 winners over FC Kilmarnock.
