Chelsea have taken over as the new leaders of the National Division following a 4-0 local derby victory over Millwall Lionesses on Wednesday night. Lianne Sanderson netted the only goal of the first half for the Blues and they sealed the points with two second half strikes from Emma Whitter and one by Dunia Susi. Sunderland and Leeds Carnegie had gone into their match as joint leaders but both slip a place after they shared a goalless draw. However the game turned out to be a pulsating one in which both goalkeepers were in outstanding form, Leeds' Carly Telford making saves against her old club from Jordan Nobbs and Kelly McDougall whilst at the other end, Rachel Laws made good stops from Sue Smith, Carla Cantrell and Ellen White. Natalie Gutteridge also hit the post for the Wearsiders as the game finished level. Everton claimed their fourth straight win, coming from behind to beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1. Katie Anderton gave Blackburn a third minute lead - the first league goal Everton have conceded - before the Toffees netted three times before the half hour mark through Fara Williams, Jody Handley and Toni Duggan. Doncaster Rovers Belles were pegged back by a late goal from Nottingham Forest as they finished level at 1-1. The Belles looked to be on their way to victory through a late first half strike from Rachel Williams but Forest salvaged a precious point in injury time when Paxton Johnson scored.
