Czech Republic 2 (Pincova 8,22) Wales 1 (Fishlock 17)
Wales were narrowly beaten 2-1 by the Czech Republic in their World Cup qualifying group match in Prague.
Adrian Tucker's side had been hoping to follow up their victory over the Czechs last month but instead were edged out in a well contested game.
Wales were forced into making two changes with Kerrie Manley and Michelle Green coming in for injury victims Nicola Cousins and Loren Dykes but Katie Daley and Lauren Townsend were passed fit to play.
All of the goals came in the opening quarter of the match, Veronika Pincova giving the Czechs the lead after eight minutes.
Wales were back on terms just after the quarter hour when Jessica Fishlock followed up to score from a rebound off the goalkeeper but just five minutes later, Pincova grabbed her second goal to put the Czechs back in front.
After the break, Wales brought on strikers Emma Plewa, Cheryl Foster and Sharla Passiarello in a bid to salvage a point from the game and had chances to score, but came closest to equalising when Helen Lander hit the bar.
Wales now travel to Azerbaijan to play their next qualifier in Baku on Wednesday.
Wales: Rhian Nokes, Sally Wade, Lauren Townsend, Kerrie Manley (sub Sharla Passiarello 85mins), Emma Jones, Michelle Green (sub Emma Plewa 57mins), Katie Daley, Jayne Ludlow, Helen Lander (sub Cheryl Foster 77mins), Gwennan Harries, Jessica Fishlock. Subs not used: Sophie Dando, Katie Williams, Sophie Ingle, Jasmin Dutton.
