Northern Ireland 0 Scotland 3
Scotland go into next week's opening World Cup Qualifier in Greece brimming with confidence, after a composed 3-0 win over Northern Ireland.
Anna Signeul's side pressed high up the park from the outset, with Jennifer Beattie shifted forward into the left of midfield, while Kirsty McBride and Rhonda Jones took on the attacking full back roles.
The opener came from another defender as Rachel Corsie grabbed her first senior goal. The former Under-19 captain got her head onto an inswinging free kick from the left wing, knocking the ball down to her feet to prod past the goalkeeper.
Scotland doubled their lead after the break. Jones whipped in a cross from the right, and Suzanne Grant was waiting in the box to head into the net.
Jane Ross replaced Megan Sneddon in the second half and the young forward wrapped up the win for Scotland in style with a spectacular long range effort.
Scotland Coach Anna Signeul told www.scottishfa.co.uk: "We can be very pleased with this performance - it was just what we needed going into the World Cup campaign. The team played exactly the way we want to play against Greece, pressing high up the pitch, but keeping our concentration and defending well.
"There were excellent performances across the park tonight. We were tough, we kept attacking and there were lots of runs from midfield and defence. It's always pleasing to score a few goals and keep a clean sheet, especially with such crucial games around the corner."
