Tottenham Hotspur F.C. was the venue for the first ever London FA Female Football Forum, which took place on Wednesday 14th October. The event was held in line with 'Kick it Out' weeks of action which is to take place the week starting 15th October. The basis of the event was a guest panel, made up of Jacqui Oatley, BBC Radio Sports Commentator; Rachel Pavlou, Women's & Girls National Football Development Manager; Alison Vaughan, Campaign Manager for Kick it Out; Siobhan Chamberlain, Chelsea & England International GK; Karen Hills, Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Manager and Ebony Casey Gooden, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper. There were two 45-minute forums which ran, and local school children were invited along to the first one, to give them the opportunity to listen into the panels experiences in football and the work that they currently do, then the floor was opened up to a question and answer session. The second 45-minute forum was for adults involved in the female game, and ran in the same format. The forum was a fantastic opportunity for people to come along and listen to people who have different involvements in the female game and then quiz them about their past experiences. The feedback was very positive and it is definitely something that will be rolled out again in the near future. Natalie Huntley, Women's & Girls FDO for North London, said: ''It is important for people to have the chance to ask any questions they may have about the female game, and during the forums, there were some great questions posed. I feel that everyone would have benefitted from the event." If you would like more information on female football in London, please contact Natalie.huntley@londonfa.com or emma.barnes@londonfa.com.
