Leicester City leapt to the top of the Northern Division with a 5-0 victory against Luton Town.
Leicester opened the scoring after 17 minutes when winger Katie Lowder crossed for Natalie Reay to tap home. Natasha Meade powered home number two after fine work by Courtney Sweetman-Kirk on the half hour. After the interval, Meade coolly added her second before Rachel Stowell and Kirsty Robson combined well with Robson's perfect cross for Sweetman-Kirk to head home. Robson was again involved as she beat two players to get down the goal line, where she crossed a great ball for Stowell to rifle home to give the Foxes a good all round performance against a spirited Hatters side.
A win would have seen Aston Villa as the new leaders but they are now in third place following their 3-3 draw against Manchester City. Dani Petrovic netted twice for Villa along with Natalie Gibson.
OOH Lincoln notched up their third win in succession, 4-0 over Leeds City Vixens and are now just three points off the pace. Stacey Aisthorpe opened the scoring before Jodie Michalska and a Carla Ward penalty put the Lady Imps three ahead at the interval. Aisthorpe rounded off the win with her second goal midway through the second half.
Curzon Ashton moved into the top half, thanks to a 3-1 win away to Preston North End. Amanda Goodwin, Carla Cleworth and Kellie Leyland were all on target for Curzon, with the home side replying through Lynette Craig.
Derby County claimed their first ever Premier League victory, 3-1 against Sheffield Wednesday. Emily Jeffery netted twice along with Leanne Abbey, while Wednesday's consolation came from Beth Gingell.
