![]() The Daggers fell to their sixth league defeat in a row and remain pointless whereas Enfield, who started the season poorly by their standards, have won two in a row as well as progressing in the League Cup with a great win at Lewes. The outcome was never really in doubt once Enfield had taken a two-goal lead through excellent long range strikes from Bianca Baptiste and Emma Thomas which gave keeper Leanne Topper no chance. Dagenham pulled a goal back on 28 minutes when Sara Sinclair broke the offside trap to finish well but, within four minutes, Thomas placed a perfect centre on the head of Robyn Downie to restore the two goal margin. When Baptiste scored with a shot which Topper got a hand to but could not keep out on 43 minutes, Enfield were comfortable at the break. The second half was one-way traffic as Rebecca Laporte, Beth Lovell and Lizzie Kent all tried to add their names to those of the first half scorers but it was Thomas, with a lovely chip, and Baptiste - to complete her hat-trick - who were successful. The woodwork and three excellent Topper saves in one-on-one situations kept the score respectable. Dagenham were unable to create much danger to Jo Ayre's goal until Nicola Carty scored a fine solo effort late on to reduce the deficit but by then , Enfield were pressing on to add to their lead, attacking relentlessly from all angles. Enfield have a mobile and inventive young attack who are good to watch and an experienced defence and whether or not they can overcome the early season points loss will be interesting to watch. Dagenham played with a good spirit in this match but will probably face a long battle to avoid the final spot in the division. Enfield's third team completed a good day at Brimsdown by beating Tower Hamlets Res 5-0 in a Greater London League Division Four fixture.
