Liverpool claimed their second victory in successive games by beating Luton Town 2-0. Cheryl Foster gave the Reds a first half lead but it needed a penalty save from Hannah Williams to keep them ahead at the break. Sam Chappell wrapped up the win with the second goal late on. Manchester City had started the day in leaders but are now back in third place after going down 3-2 at home to Leeds City Vixens, who complete a quartet of clubs on six points. Stacey Daniel scored twice and Emily Heckler the other for Leeds, with City replying through Charlotte Farrell and Krystle Johnson. Aston Villa remain unbeaten after three matches but drew for the second successive game, 1-1 against OOH Lincoln. Kelly Saggs netted for Villa with an own goal giving the Lady Imps a share of the spoils. Curzon Ashton notched up their first victory of the season, defeating Derby County 3-0 thanks to a goal apiece from Sophie Turrell, Issy Hayes and Amanda Goodwin.
