Northern Combination Tranmere Rovers are the team which is setting the pace at the top of the Northern Combination after they won 3-2 away to opening day leaders Middlesbrough. Rochdale are the other team to sport a 100% record from the opening two matches following their 4-2 victory over Stockport County. Holly Newman led the scoring by bagging a hat-trick, with Susie Wells also on target. The two newly promoted sides came face to face and it was Liverpool Feds who ran out emphatic 8-0 winners over Darlington RA, lifting themselves up into third place. Salford Ladies follow on after they defeated Blackpool Wren Rovers 5-0. Bradford City also recorded their first win of the season, a 3-2 local derby victory away to Wakefield thanks to a hat-trick from Mel Garside. South Durham Royals bounced back from their opening day defeat to win 3-1 at Scunthorpe Utd. South East Combination Ashlee Hincks was on target twice, with Natalie Crinean adding the other as Gillingham swept to the leadership of the South East Combination with a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Milton Keynes Dons sit in second place, level on points with the Gills, following their 3-0 success away to Ebbsfleet Utd. Lauren Goodier gave the Dons the lead early in the second half, with Hannah Cunningham and Caroline Moran netting further goals to secure the points. Northampton Town leapt into third place by scoring nine without reply against an injury-hit Welwyn Garden City side. Sam Christie, Imogen Cox and Clarke each bagged doubles with one apiece from Bateman, Jade Linnell and Lisa Porter. Ipswich Town claimed their first victory of the season when beating Dagenham & Redbridge by the odd goal in seven. Lewes made sure the long trip home from Norwich City was a happy one as they came away with a 4-2 victory. Katie Hodges, Charlotte Bennett, Emma Millington and Helen Whitton were all on target for the Sussex side. Also off the mark for the season are Cambridge Women, who claimed a 1-0 win against Enfield Town. South West Combination Forest Green Rovers are the new leaders of the South West Combination following their 5-0 victory over Oxford City. Plymouth Argyle made it two wins from two games when beating Swindon Town 5-1. Laura Gough was on target four times for the Pilgrims along with substitute Sophie Drake. Havant & Waterlooville picked up their first point in a 1-1 draw with opening day table toppers Newquay. Charlotte Brown gave the Hawks a first half lead, with Newquay equalising through a late free kick from Jess Longworth. Yeovil Town meanwhile recovered from their defeat the previous Sunday to beat Reading Town 21-0 and set a new record victory for the league. Lindsey Roe led the goal spree by netting eight times, Jemma Tewkesbury added four, Rachael Edwards weighed in with a hat-trick and the remaining were scored by Georgia Coles (2), Demi Agar, Sarah Lawler, Amy Wild and Anusia Rourke. Newly promoted Cullompton Rangers recorded their first victory of the season, 4-3 against Winscombe.
