Tranmere Rovers will kick off the new season in the Northern Combination with a home match on the opening day. The Birkenhead side, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, start off by playing host to Scunthorpe Utd. Rochdale, last season's runners-up, have a home game against Wakefield (formerly Morley Spurs) whilst newly promoted Darlington RA open up by playing a local derby with Middlesbrough. Liverpool Feds, promoted back into the league, are away to Blackpool Wren Rovers. Opening day fixtures (16th August):
