Women's football comes to Westfield
 Women's Football News 17 Jun 2009

Westfield Football Club, based in Woking in Surrey, has welcomed the chance to bring women's football to the club.

Westfield FC has an impressive history of success both on and off the pitch since its formation in 1953 and there are plans in place for a promising future at Elmbridge Lane.

Westfield Ladies FC will play in the competitive London & South East League Division One. The opportunity to play at the extremely well maintained Elmbridge Lane pitch and the full use of the training facilities, along with the extremely welcoming and ambitious nature of Chairman Steve Perkins and the committee, made the decision an easy one for Ladies director Steve Kick and manager Paul Nicholls.

Manager Paul said "We were looking for a senior football club with a surface to play good football on, on site training facilities, perhaps more importantly a club that wanted a ladies team and we are delighted to have all of this and more at Westfield FC."

Pre-season training at Westfield Ladies FC starts on Thursday 9th July at 6.30pm, Wednesday 15th July, Thursday 23rd July, and Wednesday 29th July and the team are looking to attract new players to help the team to achieve promotion. Players are asked to contact Level 3 coach Paul on (07802) 664579 or by e-mail at westfieldladiesfc@hotmail.co.uk and to come along on the 9th July to meet the players and train with us.
