Reading given double boost
 Women's Football News 16 Jun 2009

Reading FC Women have been handed a double boost and the team are now hopeful of success this season.

Tony Milstead has been appointed new manager, whilst the team were moved to the Southern Division of the Premier League after spending a season in the Northern Division.

Director Of Women's Football Lee Herron said: "I am really looking forward to working with Tony - and obviously the team are now in the correct league after the FA put right the wrongs of last season.

"Both of those factors combined give us a great chance to continue what we had a couple of seasons ago when we won back-to-back promotions.

"We will try to strengthen and hopefully go for success by making a real push this season.

"Tony comes from QPR's successful team and he helped take them up to the Premier League. He is an A Licence coach who has a good reputation and will bring a good staff with him as well."

Reading finished sixth in the Northern Division last season, their first in the league after being promoted as Champions of the South West Combination.
