Dudley snap up Donna
 Women's Football News 3 Jun 2009

Dudley United are pleased to announce the signing of former Aston Villa and Manchester City player Donna Arrowsmith.

Donna played for Wolves last season and under new Dudley United manager Andy Mulligan at Aston Villa in the 2007-08 season.

Andy Mulligan said: "We are so happy that Donna has chosen to come and play with us here at Dudley. This outlines our plans for the club and where we want to take it in the future.

"We appreciate that Donna could be playing at a much higher level, however she has seen what we have to offer here at Dudley and is very impressed at what our plans are. We are aiming high here to pull players that would normally never look at this level, with the view to make rapid progress up the leagues."

Donna added: "I'm so happy to be part of a set up that is driven by development and success. Andy and his coaching team will offer me the chance to develop and, more importantly for me, help develop other players for the future. The set up here in my opinion is to be compared with clubs at Premier League level."
