Chelsea wrap up title
 Women's Football News 25 May 2009

Chelsea wrap up title - 25 May 2009 - Women's Football NewsChelsea Reserves clinched the Southern Division One title with a convincing 4-0 victory away to Bristol Academy.

The Blues needed one win from their remaining three games in order to overhaul Arsenal and pick up the trophy for the second season in succession.

In warm conditions at Filton, Chelsea gained the result they needed thanks to a double from Vicky Vickery and she was joined on the scoresheet by Katy Ling and Stevie Lamb, who completed the win with a neat 25-yard lob late on.

The result crowns a wonderful season for Chelsea who can lay claim to being the best reserve side in the country, having beaten Midlands/North Division One Champions Leeds Carnegie in the Reserve Section League Cup Final as well as lifting the Surrey County Cup.
