![]() This much awaited Final will see City, the Premier League leaders and reigning Champions, take on Rangers, the First Division Champions, who have won promotion to the Premier League in their first ever season. It has been a fantastic inaugural season for the Scottish women's footballing newcomers, as Rangers have won every game in the First Division and have reached their first ever final, in less than 12 months as a club. However, they face a daunting task in Glasgow City. City have already won the Premier League Cup this season and with one game left in the Premier League, are strong contenders to retain their Premier League Championship crown. A win in the Scottish Cup Final over Rangers would mean a historic treble for the Glasgow side, something City and Scotland midfielder Megan Sneddon, feels is all the incentive her team needs. "We have had an amazing season," she said. "We reached the last sixteen of the UEFA Women's Champions League - the first Scottish team ever to do so - and we are in the hunt for the treble. This is the reason we play football, we want to win things. "Our Premier League Cup win was a great way to start things off and with two weeks left of the season we have the chance to retain our Premier League title and win the Scottish Cup. It is a big time for us, but we have played in many finals and I feel we have the experience and the ability to achieve our goals. "Rangers will be really tough opposition and obviously being in a different League and being a new team this season, we have never faced each other before. They will be desperate to win their first trophy but we will be doing our best to ensure it is Glasgow City who leave Forthbank with the Cup."
